Double Standard
For some reason unknown to me, Curtis is allowed to sit, stand, or lie on the coffee table (or on my table, for that matter). I am not. In fact, I am scolded for climbing on any furniture. This capricious rule-making and enforcement is a problem—an injustice—and I will not stand (or sit or lie) for it!

Look, Meyer. I get to sit on the tables. So what? You get to go outside almost every day. Since you've been around, I've hardly been allowed to go out at all. Mom and Dad also let you eat real food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I'm stuck with dry cereal and, occasionally, a kitty treat or some whipped cream. Deal with not being able to sit, stand, or lie on the table. It could be a lot worse.
